Committing a decision to God before making it changes the posture you bring into it, less anxious control, more open hands. This doesn't remove the responsibility to think carefully, it grounds that thinking somewhere steadier than your own certainty. Established thoughts, in this verse, aren't the same as thoughts that never change, they're thoughts that have a stable foundation underneath them, which actually makes it easier to reconsider a decision later without the whole thing feeling like it's collapsing.

Before finalizing today's decision, take thirty seconds of real silence to actually commit it to God rather than rushing straight from discussion to conclusion. Thirty seconds feels long in a meeting, which is usually a sign it's worth doing. If the group is split, resist forcing a premature resolution just to end the discomfort of disagreement.
