We used to publish family-friendly games and music alongside our devotional content. We've since stepped away from those to focus everything on what matters most: helping people build a real, daily habit of time in God's Word, through this site and through FaithSpark.

Meet Joey, the Founder

Mind Garden Press was started by Joey Etheridge, a truck driver, husband, and dad of four from Texas. Joey found his faith on the long haul, hours alone on the road have a way of stripping things down to what actually matters, and started writing devotionals as a way to stay anchored to Scripture between stops. That habit turned into Mind Garden Press, and eventually into FaithSpark, the devotional app he built because he wanted something real for his own morning commute, not another generic prayer app.

Joey writes (or guides) every devotional on this site from that same place: real life, real Scripture, and what it actually looks like to follow God when the road gets long, whether that road is literal or just a hard season you're driving through.

Our Mission

Our mission is simple: create devotional content that points people back to Scripture and helps them build a daily habit they'll actually keep. We believe even a short daily Bible verse devotional, read consistently, can plant lasting seeds of faith, which is why everything we publish, from a quick short daily devotional to a full 365 day devotional with scripture, is built to be read in real life, not just on a perfect day.
