“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”

Teams and groups get stuck in old patterns just as easily as individuals do, the way things have always been done, the assumptions nobody's questioned in years. This verse is a reminder that newness is actually available, not just theologically but practically, old ways of doing things are allowed to pass away. There's a real permission in the phrase old things are passed away, it isn't framed as loss, it's framed as clearing space, which is a helpful way to think about retiring a tired process.

Ask the group to name one process or habit that's outlived its usefulness, and give yourselves permission to actually retire it today instead of just complaining about it again. Complaining without changing anything usually just entrenches the old pattern further.
