A Short Devotion on Grace for Your Next Meeting

πŸ“– 2 Corinthians 12:9

β€œMy grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness.”

πŸ’ Reflection

Most meetings are, underneath the agenda, a room full of people managing their own limitations, not enough time, not enough skill, not enough energy. Paul's answer to his own weakness wasn't to hide it, it was to find that God's strength showed up precisely there. Weakness admitted in this room might be more useful than competence performed. Performed competence is exhausting to maintain and fools almost no one for long, while honest weakness, oddly, tends to build more trust than a carefully managed image of having it all together.

βœ… In Practice

Instead of presenting only the finished, polished version of your update today, admit one place you're genuinely struggling. Let this room be a place that's safe for that, and notice whether the room actually responds with grace when someone does, or quietly punishes the honesty instead.

πŸ—£ Discuss

Where do we need to stop pretending we have enough strength and admit we need grace instead?

πŸ™ Pray

God, meet us in our weakness today. Let Your strength be what actually carries this work, not our own, and free us from the exhausting effort of pretending we have it all together. Amen.
