💭 What This Means
Today's reading in Romans is a powerful journey from our brokenness to God's incredible grace. Chapter five begins with the amazing news that because we are justified by faith, we have peace with God. While we were still sinners, Christ died for us, showing God's profound love. Then in chapter six, Paul challenges us to live out this new reality. We died to sin through Christ, so we should no longer let sin reign in our lives, but instead yield ourselves to God as instruments of righteousness. Chapter seven explores the inner battle, the cry of 'O wretched man that I am!' as we struggle with sin even after knowing the law. But this struggle points us directly to the solution in chapter eight. There is now no condemnation for those in Christ Jesus. The Holy Spirit liberates us from the power of sin and death. He lives in us, guiding us as children of God, crying 'Abba, Father,' and making us heirs with Christ. It's a journey from condemnation to adoption, all by His Spirit.

Lord, thank You for the incredible truth that there is no condemnation for those in Christ. Thank You for Your Spirit who sets us free from sin and death, and who makes us Your children. Help me to walk by Your Spirit today, living out the new life You've given me, and resting in Your peace. In Jesus' name, Amen.
