💭 What This Means
Today's reading begins in Acts with Paul and Barnabas returning to strengthen the disciples, appointing elders, and sharing how God had opened the door of faith to the Gentiles. Then we dive into Paul's urgent letter to the Galatians. Paul immediately confronts them for turning to 'another gospel' that adds legalistic requirements to faith. He fiercely defends his authority, stating his gospel came by direct revelation from Jesus Christ, not from men. Paul recounts his conversion from persecutor to apostle and even describes confronting Peter for compromising the truth of the gospel. He makes it abundantly clear: we are justified by faith in Jesus Christ, not by works of the law. The law served a purpose, but it cannot give life. Christ redeemed us from its curse, so that the promise given to Abraham, that all nations would be blessed through his seed, might be received by faith.

Lord, thank You for the clarity of Your gospel. Help me to never lose sight of the truth that I am justified by faith in Jesus, not by my own efforts or works. Thank You for setting me free from the law's curse through Christ's sacrifice. Keep my heart fixed on Him alone. In Jesus' name, Amen.
