A Moment of Reflection and Faithful Waiting
Dear brothers and sisters in Christ, In these days of uncertainty, we are reminded of the importance of trusting the Lord’s timing and wisdom. As we watch events unfold in our nation, including the recent pause on President Trump’s nomination of Jay Clayton for the position of Director of National Intelligence, we are called to look beyond the headlines and focus on the promises of God. The Lord has never led His people through confusion or fear, but through faith and patience. As Proverbs 3:5-6 says, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.”
A Test of Faith in Leadership
The role of the Director of National Intelligence is one of immense responsibility, requiring wisdom, discernment, and a heart aligned with the truths of Scripture. The Lord has placed leaders in every generation to guide His people, and we must pray for wisdom in discerning the best course of action. As 2 Timothy 2:15 reminds us, “Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.” This is a moment where we are called to trust that the Lord is working behind the scenes, even when the path is unclear.

And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Let us pray for clarity, courage, and unity in our nation, trusting that the Lord is sovereign over all things.
