A New Chapter in God’s Sovereign Plan
Brothers and sisters in Christ, the Lord continues to move in the hearts of His people, guiding the course of nations with perfect wisdom. As the Georgia midterm elections draw near, the news that a Trump-backed candidate has won the primary to face Jon Ossoff is a testament to the unfolding of God’s sovereign plan. In His timing, He raises up leaders and sets the stage for His kingdom to advance.
Trusting God’s Sovereignty Over Nations
The Bible reminds us that “the Lord has made everything for its purpose, even the wicked for the day of calamity” (Proverbs 16:9). This election is not a mere political contest but a moment where God’s hand is evident. The Lord disciplines His people and leads them in the right way (Psalm 119:79). As we see the hand of God in the rise of this candidate, we are reminded that no nation is beyond His reach.
A Call to Faithful Stewardship
Beloved, the Lord calls us to be faithful stewards of His Word and His people. In 2 Timothy 2:15, we are told, “Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly teaches the truth.” This election is an opportunity for us to pray, to vote, and to stand firm in the truth of Scripture. Let us not be discouraged by the challenges ahead, for our God is greater than any opposition.
The Power of Prayer and Unity
As we face the trials of this political season, let us remember that “the effective prayer of a righteous person can turn the heart of a king” (James 5:16). We urge our congregations to unite in prayer for this race, for the leaders of our nation, and for the salvation of souls. The Lord is with us, and He will not allow His people to be moved from their purpose (Psalm 37:24).
A Prayer for Wisdom and Courage
Lord, we lift our voices in prayer, asking for wisdom to discern Your will, courage to stand for truth, and faithfulness to Your Word. Guide our hearts as we prepare to vote, and strengthen our families in the teachings of Christ. May our actions reflect Your love and our hope in You.
A Simple Prayer
Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your sovereign care over our nation and our lives. We trust in Your promises and commit to living as faithful witnesses of Your grace. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
