💭 What This Means
Today, we reach the end of the Bible, but it's really a glorious new beginning. Revelation nineteen paints a vivid picture of Christ as King of Kings, returning in triumph to defeat evil. Then, chapter twenty describes the final judgment where Satan is cast away forever, and every person stands before God. But the true climax arrives in chapters twenty-one and twenty-two. We see a new heaven and a new earth, where God Himself comes to dwell with humanity. There will be no more death, sorrow, crying, or pain. God declares, "Behold, I make all things new." The new Jerusalem is described in stunning detail, a city filled with God's glory, where the river of life flows and the tree of life provides healing. It's an eternal home for all whose names are written in the Lamb's book of life. The book closes with Jesus' powerful words, "Surely I come quickly," and a final invitation to "take the water of life freely." What a hopeful conclusion.

Lord, what a journey it has been, from creation to the promise of a new heaven and new earth. Thank You for Your faithfulness throughout all of history. We praise You for making all things new, for wiping away every tear, and for promising to dwell with us forever. We eagerly await Your return. Even so, come, Lord Jesus. In Jesus' name, Amen.
