💭 What This Means
Today we see Paul facing intense opposition. He stands before the angry crowd, recounting his dramatic conversion on the Damascus road. He tells them how Jesus called him to be His witness, even to the Gentiles. This angers the crowd, who demand his death. But Paul, a Roman citizen, avoids scourging, and then masterfully divides the Jewish council by declaring his belief in the resurrection. The tension is palpable, but God is not finished with Paul. That very night, the Lord stands by him, encouraging him with a promise: "Be of good cheer, Paul, for as you have testified of me in Jerusalem, so you must bear witness also at Rome." Even an assassination plot by over forty men can't stop God's plan. Paul's nephew overhears it, and a massive military escort is arranged to safely take Paul to Caesarea. God's protection is clearly at work, moving Paul toward Rome, just as He promised.

Lord, thank You for Your incredible protection over Paul in the midst of danger. Thank You for His courage to speak truth, even when it cost him dearly. Help me to trust Your plan for my life, even when things are difficult, knowing that You are always at work. Strengthen my faith to testify about You, just as Paul did. In Jesus' name, Amen.
