💭 What This Means
Today's reading shows how God uses unexpected ways to spread His good news. Persecution, led by Saul, scattered the early believers, but instead of stopping the church, it propelled the gospel outward. Philip preaches in Samaria, bringing great joy and even encountering Simon the sorcerer. Then, led by an angel, Philip meets the Ethiopian eunuch, explaining Isaiah's prophecy and baptizing him. But the biggest surprise comes with Saul himself. On his way to persecute more Christians, Jesus confronts him directly, blinding him and calling him to a new purpose. The persecutor becomes the preacher, boldly proclaiming Christ. We also see Peter's ministry, healing Aeneas and even raising Tabitha from the dead, demonstrating God's power through His servants. From Jerusalem to Samaria, to Ethiopia, and Damascus, the message of Jesus is unstoppable.

Lord, thank You for how You work in surprising ways, even through persecution, to spread Your message. Thank You for transforming lives, like Saul's, and for using ordinary people like Philip and Peter to do extraordinary things.
