💭 What This Means

These psalms powerfully declare that the Lord reigns. He is clothed in majesty and strength, seated on an ancient throne. We are called to worship Him with joyful noise and thanksgiving, acknowledging Him as our Maker, the great King above all gods. Even when the wicked seem to triumph and oppress the vulnerable, as Psalm 94 laments, God sees and hears. He is our defense and refuge, promising not to forsake His people. However, Psalm 95 warns us not to harden our hearts and miss His rest, remembering Israel's failures in the wilderness. Ultimately, these psalms proclaim God's coming judgment. He will judge the world with righteousness and truth, scattering His enemies and ensuring His saints flourish. His holiness means He is our rock, and there is no unrighteousness in Him.

Lord, thank You that You reign, clothed in majesty and strength. You are my rock and my refuge. Help me to worship You with a joyful heart, and never to harden my heart to Your voice.
