A Time of Faithful Stewardship
My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, as we navigate these times of uncertainty, let us turn our hearts to the Lord and seek His wisdom. The Lord Jesus Christ, who is the same yesterday, today, and forever, guides His people through every trial and triumph. In the midst of political shifts and decisions, we are called to trust in the Lord’s sovereignty and the wisdom of His appointed leaders.
The Lord’s Timing and Wisdom
When leaders are called to serve, they do so under the Lord’s direction. As we read in Proverbs 3:5-6, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.” The Lord knows the hearts of those He calls, and He works all things according to His perfect will. This week, the Lord has moved in the hearts of His servants to affirm the wisdom of allowing the current intelligence chief to remain in place. While the Lord’s plans may not always align with our human understanding, we are called to walk in faith, not fear.
A Call to Prayer and Trust
Beloved, as we see the Lord’s hand at work, let us not grow weary in prayer. The Apostle Paul reminds us in 1 Samuel 12:23, “Far be it from me that I should sin against the Lord by ceasing to pray for you. I will with all my heart pray for you, and I will bless your house.” We are to be a people of prayer, interceding for our leaders and trusting in the Lord’s timing.
The Lord’s Peace in Uncertainty
In the midst of uncertainty, the Lord offers us His peace. As we read in Philippians 4:6-7, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Let us rest in the knowledge that the Lord is in control, and His plans are perfect.
A Simple Prayer
Lord, we thank You for Your faithfulness and for the leaders You place in our midst. Guide us to trust in Your wisdom and walk in Your truth. Help us to be a people of prayer, interceding for our nation and its leaders. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
