The Lord is My Strength and Song
Dear friends in Christ, as we watch the markets shift and the economy move, let us remember that the Lord is our strength and our song (Psalm 144:1). While the S&P 500 futures remain little changed and oil prices tick higher, we are reminded that the Lord is in control of all things. The world may be anxious about economic decisions, but our hearts should rest in the knowledge that God’s plans are perfect and His promises are sure.
Trust in the Lord, Not in Uncertainty
The Federal Reserve’s upcoming rate decision is a topic of great interest, but let us not be troubled by the noise of human speculation. As the apostle Paul wrote, “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your minds” (Romans 12:2). The Lord knows the hearts of those in authority and guides their decisions according to His will. Whether the Fed chooses to raise or lower rates, we can trust that God is working all things together for the good of those who love Him (Romans 8:28).
Wisdom in Financial Matters
In these times of economic uncertainty, let us seek wisdom from the Lord. Proverbs 28:25 warns, “Be sure your foot never slips; do not let your heart be afraid.” As we navigate financial decisions, may we prioritize the kingdom of God above all else. The Lord provides for His children, and He will supply all our needs according to His riches in glory (Philippians 4:19). Let us give Him thanks for the blessings He has already given and trust Him for the future.
A Prayer for Guidance and Peace
Lord, we thank You for Your sovereignty over all creation, including the markets and the economy. Help us to trust in Your perfect plan and not be swayed by the fears of the world. Guide our leaders in wisdom and integrity, and grant us peace that surpasses understanding as we walk in Your truth. We ask this in Jesus’ name, Amen.
